My goal here is to just set up a June postcard mailing for anyone that wants to get some art in the mail. The postcards come in an envelope so that you can keep it for yourself or mail to friends.
The June Postcard is my first ever mailing, and they will be sent out on June 25.
The design is a much beloved little monster that I made 2 years ago as a 3 layer reduction woodblock print, which is sold out as original prints, but I thought some postcards would be fun! The picture is called “Wandering With Anxiety” and I guess it’s from what is becoming a series on loving your monsters.
I had a friend a few years ago who started a band called “love your monster” and ever since then I’ve had many thoughts and conversations about loving our quirks and feelings and I always envision them as monsters, just trying to be understood and to understand the big, wild, world which can at times be very terrifying and at times beautiful and warm.
I’m so excited to try this snail mail project and to share more of myself with friends old and new. We all need to plant seeds of imagination, love, and joy to keep fighting for the world we want, this is one way I’m trying to do that.
